How Do I Get The Code On My Page? Do I need an engineer to put it up on my website?
Absolutely No. Getting going requires not much more than cutting and pasting the chat Box code from the install tab in your dashboard on dashboard.vhelp.me. After you login to your account, you can get your code under the “integration” tab, to copy and paste onto pages of your Web site (whichever page you wish the chat box to appear). No coding necessary.
Or check your email, which will have the script code there for you to copy and paste.
If you don’t know how to paste the code, dont worry, here is some simple step-by-step instructions:
1. Adding the vhelp HTML to your Web Page
We make it easy to add vhelp to your web page. Just follow the simple steps below. If you can’t for the life of you get vhelp running, your service may be blocking JavaScript or its Jquery code could be conflicting, which you can get going by commenting the jquery code found in our script code. Anyway here are the baby steps.
Copy the code
1a. Open your web-page in a text editor (i.e. TextEdit)
1b. Paste the vhelp code in the web-page’s HTML source. (We recommend placing it at the bottom of your page before the end of “body” tag ie. </body>.)
1c. Save your modified web page.
1d. Upload it to your web server

How do I fine tune, how the widget will appear and under what conditions it might appear ?
With just simple point and click settings, you can get the best out of vhelp. Not only you can customize the widget, but also have complete control on how it appears and when it will appear.
Do I need to download any chat client ?
The short and only answer, No. Beauty of vhelp is that it does away with any need to download code. You even if you are vacationing in Vegas, you can still attend to your visitors (we won’t recommend it though
). You just need to login, from anywhere, where you can find internet, to “portal.vhelp.me” with your user id and password and get going. Yah, its just that simple. With the well spread out layout, we make it super productive for you to talk to your visitors and help them buy.
How can I manage and see the highlights of my agents are performing ?
You can just login to “dashboard.vhelp.me” and track your entire sales process, knowledge base, see transcripts and detailed reports.
What happens when I am offline ?
When you are offline, you are smartly covered by two brilliant ideas,
a. You can switch on “leave Message”, so that your visitors can leave you message, which will get forwarded to the email that you would put in your “settings” tab in dashboard.vhelp.me . If any point of time you wish to change the email id, you can simple go the same settings and provide an updated email id.
b. You can switch on Maya (by opting for Auto agent in the “settings” tab), so that she can take care of visitors, who require simple questions answered. For difficult questions, Maya would still send you the email with the details of the conversation.
What happens when I am away in another window ?
We know that you may be multi tasking Superman, so when you are not looking at “portal.vhelp.me” , we will ensure that if any visitors pops in , you get to hear a tingle, to remind you that a visitor is here and he might love your attention more.
I am not able to manage the load of visitors ?
An agent is a live chat sales human agent. Depending on the plan you choose, you can have from 1 to 10 agents on duty at once. It all depends on the traffic your site generates. In practice if you find yourself having 6 or more chats requests at the same time, you probably need another agent on duty.
Or a good strategy is to invest in “Maya, Auto Help”, who can take care of easier queries of visitors while you can tackle the difficult one.
